About
New Noise

WAM’s New Noise program provides opportunities for young people across WA to engage with contemporary West Australian music. The program is part of WAM’s broader Audience Development initiative which aims to develop new and diverse audiences for WA music.

New Noise includes a multi-faceted schools program as well as a youth-run events group called New Noise Collective.

New Noise Collective organises live music events in community spaces for people of all ages.

New Noise
Schools Programs

As part of New Noise in schools, WA musicians visit metropolitan and regional primary and high schools to perform live, conduct workshops and work collaboratively with students.

There is no cost for schools to be involved in the program.

To become involved in New Noise, please email em@wam.org.au.

New Noise is presented in partnership with Healthway, and carries the Act Belong Commit message for mental wellness.
